Yo yo yo, so I’m not in any way affiliated with Saving Face, SONY, Overbrook, Alice Wu, Michelle Krusiec, Lynn Chen, etc…In other words, I’m a fan–probably just like you.

Saving Face Poster

I can’t believe I first saw Saving Face a month ago, given that it was released in 2005. Where have I been? This is probably telling of the state of Asian American films. We’ve got all these great APA film festivals around the country. Unless you are in these loops, you miss new APA films. I find it morally, yes morally (I said it!) reprehensible, that so much $$$$ and resources go into crap like Wild Hogs and Mr. Brooks–while smaller, meaningful and significant projects struggle to get financing and support and may never even get seen by the general public.

So, as a devoted Saving Face fan, I regularly scour the internet for little tidbits of info and delight. Sony Pictures Classic maintains its official film website. Michelle Krusiec has her own official page and blog. There’s also a pretty spectacular fan blog for Ms. Krusiec, complete with ongoing fan fiction. Lynn Chen has her own official page and a defunct blog (which is still up and still amazing).

This is my tiny contribution to the interweb of Saving Face fandom. Enjoy and I’d love to hear from you!
